WOD Dana 60 Shock Mount Gusset Kit
WA121029
The Wide Open Design Dana 60 Shock Mount Gusset Kit is engineered to strengthen your Dana 60 front axle while providing an optimized mount for coilovers, air shocks, or ORI struts. Designed to weld between the axle tube and the Dana 60 inner C, these gussets create a rigid structural brace while positioning the shock as far outboard as possible to maximize steering clearance and suspension geometry.
Each kit includes two different tab heights to help establish the proper shock angle, making them especially effective for front suspension setups where the shocks lean back toward the chassis. Precision laser cut from 1/4" high-strength plate steel, these weld-ready gussets eliminate hours of fabrication while delivering the strength required for rock crawlers, Ultra4 race cars, rock bouncers, and other high-performance off-road vehicles.
Includes:
- (4) Dana 60 Shock Mount Gussets (2 of each height)
Note: Includes enough gussets to mount shocks on one complete Dana 60 front axle.

Tech Insight
Strengthen your Dana 60 while adding a shock mount
Rather than simply adding a shock tab, this kit reinforces one of the highest-stress areas of the front axle by tying the axle tube directly into the inner C. The triangulated design reduces flex while creating an extremely strong mounting point for modern off-road suspension systems.
Designed to maximize steering clearance
The mounting location pushes the shock outward toward the steering knuckle as far as practical while maintaining clearance throughout steering travel. This allows larger coilovers, air shocks, or ORI struts to be packaged without interfering with steering components.
Optimize front suspension geometry
Two different gusset heights are included to help establish the correct shock angle for front suspension systems. Builders can better position shocks that lean rearward toward the chassis, improving packaging, suspension motion ratio, and overall performance.
Built for extreme off-road use
Manufactured from 1/4" high-strength steel, these gussets are designed to withstand the severe impacts, suspension loads, and steering forces encountered in rock crawling, Ultra4 racing, and rock bouncing while improving both axle strength and shock mounting reliability.
