The Crane Axle GM Front 3/4 Ton Disc Brake Kit is designed to replace heavy 1-ton GM brakes. Built for rigs running Dana 60 kingpin knuckles, this kit offers improved stopping power, reduced unsprung weight, better pedal feel, and easier maintenance. It also provides increased wheel clearance — even on most 15" steel wheels — making it ideal for off-road builds, 14-bolt conversions, and high performance trail rigs.

This kit is engineered to work directly with Crane Axle GM Kingpin Knuckles, while also fitting stock and aftermarket kingpin knuckles, including Reid and Solid.

  • (2) 3/8" thick laser-cut brake brackets
  • (2) GM 12.5" standard 3/4-ton rotors
  • (2) GM standard-duty 3/4-ton calipers

Tech Insight

Disc brakes drastically improve performance by providing consistent pad to rotor contact, even as pads wear. With better cooling, the system resists brake fade during long descents or repeated heavy braking. Reducing the weight of the rotating assembly lowers unsprung mass, helping the suspension react faster and extending shock life. Laser-cut brackets ensure proper caliper alignment, increasing reliability and ease of installation. This is one of the most effective upgrades for any Dana 60 kingpin–based axle build.
