Yukon Dana 60 & Dana 61 Master Overhaul Kit - Front Differential
YUKYK D60-F
This Yukon Dana 60 and Dana 61 Master Overhaul Kit is designed for rebuilding front differential assemblies found in heavy-duty Ford, Dodge, Chevrolet, and GMC truck applications. The kit includes Timken bearings and races along with seals, shims, hardware, and setup materials required to properly rebuild and set up Dana 60 and Dana 61 front differentials used in both standard and reverse rotation applications.
Dana 60 and Dana 61 front axles are widely used in towing, commercial, off-road, and heavy-duty truck applications where increased tire size, drivetrain load, and suspension modifications place substantial stress on carrier bearings, pinion bearings, and sealing surfaces. Replacing all wear components during differential service is critical for maintaining proper preload, backlash, and long-term reliability.

Tech Insight
Dana 60 and Dana 61 front axles are widely used in heavy-duty truck and off-road applications because of their large ring gear size, strong pinion support, and high load capacity. However, larger tires, towing loads, suspension lifts, and off-road use place significant stress on bearings, preload components, and seals.
During differential service or gear replacement, replacing bearings, races, crush sleeves, and shim packs is critical to maintaining proper backlash and pinion preload. Reusing worn setup components can lead to gear noise, overheating, bearing failure, and shortened gear life—especially in high-load towing and off-road environments.
