Yukon Dana 70 Master Overhaul Kit - Rear Differential
YUKYK D70
This Dana 70 master overhaul kit is designed for complete differential rebuilds in heavy-duty truck, van, commercial, and towing applications using Dana 70 rear axles. This overhaul kit includes Timken bearings and races along with the essential setup hardware needed to correctly establish pinion preload, carrier preload, backlash, and gear tooth contact during installation.
Dana 70 axles are commonly found in one-ton trucks, commercial vans, tow rigs, and heavy payload applications because of their large ring gear size, high spline-count axle shafts, and exceptional load capacity. Proper differential setup is critical for towing reliability, heavy hauling, oversized tires, and high-torque drivetrain applications.

- Carrier bearings and races
- Pinion bearings and races
- Pinion seal
- Complete shim kit
- Ring gear bolts
- Pinion nut
- Oil baffles and slingers
- Thread locker
- Gear marking compound with brush
- Differential gasket

Tech Insight
Dana 70 axles are known for their massive carrier bearings, large pinion support, and heavy-duty load handling capability. These axles are commonly used in towing, commercial hauling, motorhomes, heavy-duty vans, and off-road applications where drivetrain durability is critical.
During gear installation or differential service, proper preload, backlash, and gear tooth contact pattern setup are essential for long gear life and quiet operation. Replacing worn bearings, seals, and setup components during a rebuild helps maintain correct gear alignment under heavy loads and reduces the risk of premature bearing or ring and pinion failure.
