GT 36 Straight Vane Rotor
SKU: WIL160-12884
The Wilwood GT-36 Straight Vane Rotor is engineered for the extreme heat and load conditions of professional motorsports, where consistent braking and long service life are non-negotiable. Built from premium long-grain carbon iron, the GT-36 delivers exceptional thermal stability, resistance to distortion, and superior wear characteristics for both rotors and pads.
This heavy-wall rotor features 36 straight internal vanes for maximum heat absorption and efficient dissipation, helping prevent brake fade during sustained high-temperature use. Each rotor is fully detail-machined to remove stress points and unnecessary weight outside the pad sweep area, while the asymmetrical GT slot pattern improves initial engagement, reduces harmonics, and maintains balanced heat distribution from the I.D. to the O.D.
Every GT-36 rotor is precision turned to less than 0.001 for flatness, parallelism, and runout, then individually dynamic balanced to ensure smooth, vibration-free performance at any speed.

Tech Insight
The GT-36 rotor is designed for short track and road course competition where heat management determines braking consistency. Its heavy-wall construction and straight vane design maximize cooling capacity while maintaining structural integrity under extreme thermal cycling. Combined with Wilwood’s asymmetrical slot pattern and tight machining tolerances, the GT-36 offers one of the longest service lives and most stable braking platforms available for high-end racing applications.
