Crane Axle GM Dana 60 Interlocking Steering Arm Knuckle Kit
CA01014
The Crane Axle GM Dana 60 Interlocking Steering Arm Knuckle Kit is designed for high-load steering applications where factory Dana 60 knuckles and conventional steering arm mounting systems become a limitation. Built for off-road racing, rock crawling, heavy trail use, and custom steering configurations, this kit combines interlocking high steer technology with precision-machined 8620 chromoly knuckles for improved steering rigidity and long-term durability.
The keyed interlocking steering arm reduces bolt stress, minimizes steering arm movement under load, and improves steering precision in vehicles running large tires, hydraulic assist steering, and aggressive suspension articulation. Multiple steering configurations are supported, allowing builders to configure the system for stock steering, crossover steering, Y-link setups, or full high-steer applications.

Tech Insight
Large tires, hydraulic steering systems, and aggressive off-road use place substantial stress on traditional Dana 60 steering arm mounting systems. Conventional steering arms rely primarily on fastener clamping force, which can allow movement or hardware fatigue under repeated shock loading and steering force.
The Crane Axle interlocking design uses precision-machined keyed engagement surfaces to transfer steering loads directly into the knuckle body itself. This mechanical load transfer significantly reduces stress concentration on the mounting hardware and improves steering stability during high-load articulation and impact events.
