Wilwood Residual Pressure Valve

The Wilwood Residual Pressure Valve is designed to maintain a small amount of hydraulic pressure in the brake lines to reduce excessive pedal travel and improve brake response in both disc and drum brake systems. These valves are especially beneficial in performance, off-road, and racing applications where vibration, fluid drain back, or spring tension can negatively affect pedal feel.
2 lb valve: Ideal for disc brake systems where the master cylinder is mounted below the calipers, preventing fluid drain back without causing brake drag.
4 lb valve: Commonly used in high vibration environments such as off-road vehicles and dirt track racing.
10 lb valve: Required for drum brake systems to counteract return spring tension and maintain proper wheel cylinder sealing.
Each valve is precision machined from billet aluminum and color coded for easy identification. Valves are sold without fittings.
