The Wilwood High Volume Aluminum Master Cylinder (7/8" Bore) is engineered for high demand brake systems that require maximum fluid capacity, extended piston travel, and fast, consistent retraction. Built from high pressure die-cast, high grade aluminum, this master cylinder delivers superior heat dissipation, tight bore tolerances, and long seal life.

With an 8.2 oz integral reservoir, it provides at least 26% more fluid volume than most competing integral reservoir designs, which helps keep fluid temperatures lower and maintaining reserve during long events or high pad wear conditions. A 1-7/16" (1.43") piston stroke offers extra margin for high displacement systems, while heavy duty internal return springs ensure fast piston retraction and improved pedal feel. Formed steel lids with bellows-style gaskets keep moisture out and pressure balanced.

Tech Insight

Wilwood’s high pressure die casting allows the bore to be finished without a stainless sleeve, improving heat dissipation and seal life compared to sand-cast designs. The internal slosh baffle maintains a constant fluid supply during hard braking, acceleration, and cornering, while heavy duty springs speed fluid recovery and simplify bleeding—critical advantages for endurance, off-road, and competition use.
