This Dana 80 master overhaul kit is designed for complete rear differential rebuilds using Dana 80 axle assemblies equipped with a 4.125" outer diameter inner pinion bearing race. This overhaul kit includes Timken bearings and races along with the installation hardware necessary to establish proper pinion preload, carrier preload, backlash, and ring and pinion tooth contact during differential setup.
Dana 80 rear axles are commonly used in one-ton trucks, cab-and-chassis applications, heavy vans, and commercial platforms because of their exceptional load capacity and large ring gear design. Proper rebuild procedures are critical for maintaining long-term reliability under towing loads, oversized tires, commercial use, and off-road abuse.
