This GM 8.5" rear master overhaul kit is designed for complete differential rebuilds in rear axle applications found in GM cars, trucks, SUVs, vans, and performance platforms. This rear master install kit includes Timken bearings and races along with the installation hardware necessary to establish proper pinion preload, carrier preload, backlash, and gear tooth contact pattern during differential assembly.
GM 8.5" rear axles have been widely used across muscle cars, half-ton trucks, SUVs, G-body platforms, S-series trucks, vans, and performance street applications because of their strong aftermarket support and durable design.
