Tech Insight
A 4.11 ratio is commonly selected for 35" tire builds, towing applications, and vehicles needing more low-speed pulling power. It increases driveshaft revolutions per axle turn, multiplying torque to the tires while raising cruising RPM.
Because this is a front axle gear set, it must match the rear axle ratio exactly in 4WD systems. Incorrect ratio pairing can cause severe drivetrain bind and transfer case damage.
